|
This month's case study is actually a guest entry from Pico customer daveb602, currently live in the
Pico Automotive forum. In Hi from Arizona desert, Dave uses the PicoScope 4425A to diagnose the cause of
a bad misfire and rough idle in a 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid. Take a look at the whole process, in conversation with
Steve Smith, on our Pico Automotive forum.
Do you have a diagnostic case study you'd like to share? Or are you simply after another pair of eyes to take a look
at the debugging process with you? Our forum is home to an friendly, active community, who are happy to discuss
the applications of our PicoScopes. It's also a fantastic way to reach out to us!

Permanent magnet synchronous motor/generator operation
|
|
Research into the operation of a 3-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor/generator (MG) fitted to a VW E-Golf has raised a number of questions surrounding “typical” operation and circuit characteristics. In response, our own Steve Smith has put together an article in order to address all of these queries. Check out the full article on our website.

Every month we feature two entries from our A-Z of PicoScope, in which you can find help and information about PicoScope's features. Every A-Z of PicoScope entry tells you what the feature does, how it is useful to you and how to use it. They are the ideal reference if you are considering buying a PicoScope, you are new to the software, or just a bit rusty on the details and, for example, need to learn your Timebase from your Trigger. This month's PicoScope features are Probe mismatch and the Waveform navigator.
To access these webpages, check out the A to Z of Picoscope on our website or in PicoScope 7 Automotive.

Autoinform Live, Wolverhampton, UK (6-7 November)
Last month saw the return of two face-to-face exhibitions for Jon Parker and Phil Rutt. They were delighted to get back in front of a crowd and talk about all things Pico. Autoinform is a technical training weekend hosted at the GTG training academy in Wolverhampton where delegates come together to learn in person about the latest mechanical and diagnostic technology.
Mechanex Sandown, UK (9-10 November)
Our second live event was Mechanex Sandown. It was great to have a chance to talk to customers face to face, even if it was just a quick hello or a more in depth conversation on about our latest PicoScope 7 software. It’s a great opportunity to let garage owners know about the latest products form PicoScope.
