Pico Academy and exciting news for
Off Highway...

Coming soon 10.11.23 – A series of Pico Academy videos showing how PicoScope can be used to diagnose a range of common problems found with Off Highway machinery. There is also a section showing how Pico can be used for some tests on Preventative Maintenance to help you keep your machinery running and preventing some possible future breakdowns.

With the biggest trade fair for agricultural and off highway equipment taking place between 12th - 18th November, Agritechnica 2023 will see over 3000 exhibitors and just under half a million visitors wanting to see what’s new. Agritechnica takes place in Hannover Messe and is set over 24 halls. You will find Ben and the Pico team, in hall 2 stand E56 where we will be demonstrating all things Pico. Do also join us in the live workshop area where Pico will be used on machines showing technicians how PicoScope can fit into their diagnostic process. If you would like to attend Agritechnica 2023, you can find out more on their website.

You can read the full article below, to find out even more about what's new with Off Highway. Also, be sure to check out the official teaser for our upcoming
Pico Academy series!

Case study: JCB JS220 Excavator

"As with most things in life, nothing is simple or easy. That is very true of this machine that was exhibiting a number of issues. The biggest one is as follows: the engine would begin to stall and lug down when a service was deadheaded, or the machine was put under load. Left under load, the engine would stall completely but the engine would restart without any issue. Not only this but the hydraulic pumps on this machine were leaking considerably and noisy, which required them to be removed and sent away for refurbishment."

You can read this JCB JS220 Excavator case study on our website.

Pico Automotive Forum

A recent highlight from the forum...

Intermittent DTCs, poor contact nightmares

In this forum post, Rfmotors1 shares their study in troubleshooting various faults caused by intermittent loose automotive connectors, simulated on a real-life vehicle. When simulating this poor connection proved to be a dead end, they decided to use waveforms from previous diagnostics on a Bentley W12 with a history of misfires.

You can read more on the events of this study on our Pico Automotive forum.

Pico on the web

In this section, we spotlight some recent Pico product appearances across the web.
PicoScope 7 vs Misfire

In this video from Carter's Diagnostics, the team run a test using PicoScope 7 on ignition a No.1 Cylinder coil pack, and a first-look pulse sensor up the exhaust tail pipe.
BMW diagnostics

This video from DiagnoseDan shows diagnostics on a BMW that has previously been taken to a dealership and had parts changed, but no fix!
