New Features

Newly added Action Event to trigger on your Serial Decoders, allowing you to stop a capture, save a file, or play an alarm, the moment specific serial data or errors are decoded. Perfect for unattended monitoring of intermittent bus faults.
Now possible to manually adjust the ranges of a custom probe when creating or editing a probe, allowing the setup of uni-polar or more specific ranges.
Added a new OWI serial decoder.

Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where CAN FD decoder would sometimes stop continuous decoding after encountering an error in the data.
Resolved an issue where the UI could lockup when the Math Channel options panel was open.
Time values that exceed 1 minute now consistently formatted for easier reading (e.g., 1d 2h 30m 15s).

Bug Fixes

Fix for UI fault when selecting VCI from the drop down menu.
Fix for NVH wizard display error.
Fix for crash when closing wizard and re-launching NVH plug in.
NVH settings no longer overwritten if no PicoScope is connected.

Fixed an issue that prevented the progress indicators from being displayed while capturing with Rapid Trigger.

[Windows] Improvements to lock-to-axis behavour for touch controls when pinch zooming.
Fixed a bug resulting in a timeout error on resolution change for PSOSPA MSO PicoScopes.

HDF5 export: waveform data can now be exported in HDF5 format.
[Linux] Zoom and Ruler window transparency: the zoom and ruler overlay windows now render with transparency, reducing obstruction of the waveform view beneath.

Bug Fixes

Fixed issue where Parity and CRC settings not applying correctly in PSI5 decoder.
General stability improvements.

MT03A Software — Version 2.0 Release Notes

New features

UNECE R100 bonding test mode. Designed for use after EV/hybrid repairs, component replacements, or accident damage.
Digital test records. A new data file format generates a time-stamped record for every test (bonding, milliohm, and motor). Records can be retrieved and shared for customer handover, insurance, and audit purposes.
Extended resistance measurement range. Upper limit extended from 2 Ω to 5 Ω, enabling use in CAN bus integrity checks and actuator diagnostics.
Audible threshold alerts (Milliohm Meter). Configurable alerts that sound when a measurement crosses a user-defined threshold.
Extended data history (Milliohm Meter). Data history now spans multiple pages, removing the previous single-page limit.
Configurable time-axis scaling (Milliohm Meter). The X-axis scale can be adjusted to match the duration of the measurement being taken.

Requirements
No hardware changes required. This update applies to all existing MT03A units.

Insulation tester software (Windows only)

To install the software for the TA467 Pico Insulation Tester, please:

Download the software zip file.
Extract the zip file to a convenient location (e.g. your Desktop).
Open the ta467-pico-insulation-tester-software folder.
Double-click on the setup.exe file.
Follow the on-screen instructions in the application installer wizard.
After the installer has finished, return to the ta467-pico-insulation-tester-software folder.
Open the USB Driver folder.
Double click on either CP210xVCPInstaller_x86.exe or CP210xVCPInstaller_x64.exe, depending on whether you have a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows, respectively.
Follow the on-screen instructions in the driver installer wizard.

Waveform Library

Free text search for waveforms within the Waveform library Search page.
Improvements made when favouriting a waveform.
Option added to report waveforms.
New option to filter by Make, Model and Channel labels after importing waveforms into the Waveform Manager.
Bulk download one, many, or all waveforms from My Waveforms and monitor progress.

Guided Tests

Guided Tests additions and updates, including 10BASE-T1S and LIN bus.

Annotations

Annotations for placing in-graph notes, along with arrows, to highlight and explain specific waveform events, features, or anomalies. These can then be shared as images, printed or saved within the file.

Keyboard Shortcuts

New Keyboard shortcuts feature to facilitate rapid PicoScope navigation and operation, allowing tasks to be performed quickly and easily.

Serial Decoding

Serial Decoding filtering is now applied to packets displayed in the graph area as well as the table.
A new 10BASE-T1S serial protocol decoder for automotive ethernet testing.
Directly navigate to serial decoder setup page when selecting decoder type.

Maths & Measurements

New Crest factor, DC power, Area at AC, and Area at DC (net, positive, negative, absolute variants) Math channels and Measurements.
RMS added to Maths channels.
Measurement settings for power measurements now indicate which input channel is voltage and which is current.

Channel Options

Channel options panel now retains the same opened tab when switching between channels.

Probes

Increased selection of pre-set units available for creating custom probes.

General

Added support for a wider range of characters, including Chinese, Japanese and Korean, when printing or exporting images.
Command line batch conversion of psdata files to CSV, Text, or Matlab file format. Example: Using the command prompt;

Serial Decoding

Triggers

Trigger threshold up / down buttons no longer step up logarithmically.
Fixed an issue where channels selected for logic triggers wouldn't always be loaded.
Fixed issue where the trigger threshold would sometimes reset when running with found probes from probe mismatch.

Save / Load

Fix for application freezing when loading certain files containing Measurements, including various Guided Test preset files.
File association is now working again when loading files from outside the application. (Mac only)
Fixed a crash when trying to view the open file browser when using Sequoia OSX. (Mac only)

Channel Options

Fixed an issue where the channel lozenge details are missing after a channel is disabled from other settings (eg hardware resolution). (Linux only)
Fixed issue where channels would not be brought on top/to the front when clicking/dragging their axes.

Probes

BNC+ pressure transducer measurement units now either bar or psi.
Fixed an issue where some BNC+ probes would be slow to connect.

Zoom

Fixed the issue where zoom Marquee tool would not work with touch gestures when zoomed out.

Various bug fixes in PicoScope 6 Automotive and PicoDiagnostics

Note: PicoScope 6 Automotive and PicoScope 7 Automotive handle the new PicoScope 4425A and 4225A models differently: Generally a .psdata file can be opened in both PicoScope 6 Automotive and PicoScope 7 Automotive. However, if it has been saved in PicoScope 7 Automotive using a 4425A or 4225A device then PicoScope 6 Automotive cannot recognise the probe settings. In this case, to open a file correctly in PicoScope 6 Automotive, remove any connected PicoScope device and connect a demo device so that PicoScope is in demo mode. You will then be able to load your file.

Follow the CLI steps below to install PicoScope Automotive on supported Linux distributions.

Ubuntu 26.04 LTS and Ubuntu 24.04 LTS

Step 1 : Import public key (only once, no need to repeat)

Step 2 : Add repository to the updater

Step 3 : If it results in an error saying it already exists, delete the file as in the following command and redo previous step:

Step 4 : Update package manager cache

Step 5 : Install PicoScope

sudo zypper install picoscope
```
Step 6 : If you run into packager conflicts, please ensure that installations of picoscope (6|7) GTK is removed from your system. You can achieve it by this command:
