Tuesday 14th September saw the official launch of PicoScope 7 Automotive with the first stable release
made available to all users of 3000 and 4000 series Automotive PicoScopes.
PicoScope 7 Automotive represents a major step forward in design and usability, having been developed
from the ground up to fully support the touchscreen devices that are now commonplace within vehicle
repair workshops. It retains all the benefits that made PicoScope 6 Automotive the industry standard,
and introduces significant usability enhancements to make it easier for all technicians to learn and use.
For the first time, PicoScope 7 Automotive is now available on macOS and Linux operating systems in
addition to Windows 10 (and soon Windows 11).
If you are still using your older PicoScope hardware, then PicoScope 7 provides a free upgrade to improve
the PicoScope you bought years ago and at no charge. This is our way of saying thank you for being
a loyal Pico customer. PicoScope 7 Automotive runs with the following PicoScope models:
3223, 3423, 4223, 4423, 4823, 4225, 4425, 4225A and 4425A. It will also be supported with any future
Automotive models of PicoScope hardware. When you buy PicoScope today you can be confident that you
are gaining a tool that will continue to improve every year without any subscription fees or contracts.
PicoScope 6 Automotive should now only be used for those features that have not yet been released in
PicoScope 7 Automotive, such as XY plot, masks and alerts. Later versions of PicoScope 7 Automotive
will include these "missing" features, allowing us to retire PicoScope 6 Automotive.
To support the release of PicoScope 7 Automotive, we have made many additions to the A to Z of PicoScope
section on our website and Steve Smith has continued to update his excellent forum entries about
PicoScope 7 Automotive
Try PicoScope 7 Automotive now! It is directly available for free, with no subscription or registration required.
