Well, I arrived to take a look at a mini excavator where I didn’t get wet, muddy or covered in dust. Apart from it being a little on the cold side, it was a rather pleasant site visit for a change! This isn’t the most in-depth diagnosis on this machine, but we used PicoScope to record each step of the diagnostic process to verify the fix.
 

Bloopers

If you have followed us for a while, you will know that we do a lot of work creating educational and instructing videos for our users and followers. During any type of filming, there are bound to be some mistakes made, and so we have collected some of those clips for your entertainment this December.

Maths is cool - Part 12
Following on from our Pico Practical engine evaluation Q&A, I wanted to dig a little deeper into the benefits of 48 V MHEV in comparison to 12 V systems. The current Audi A8 proved to be the perfect vehicle for such an experiment as it has the ability to crank either by a conventional 12 V starter motor or a 48 V Motor/Generator (MG) system. I thought it would be great to do these comparisons with maths and incorporate “Time” into our math channel equations.

Identifying a Shifted Crankshaft Timing Gear (Picoscope and PSI Transducer)

Scanner Danner is teaching some high school students about the advantages of in-cylinder pressure transducer testing. (Links to relevant SD Premium videos below). During this lecture, they noticed the vehicle being used had some problems that needed to be addressed.
