Automotive Newsletter

November 2019

This edition…
…We have a new guest case study from Daniel Black, Mercedes Benz of Reno. Our work on the new PicoScope 7 Automotive is ongoing, and we are still looking for more Beta testers that are interested in trying out the new software. Our PicoScope NVH and Maths is cool series continue. Our team has worked hard to update and complete another batch of Guided Test videos and we have a "Best of the web" section with some of the most popular entries featuring PicoScope. Interested in FlexRay testing? We recommend you check out our featured Forum thread. Come see us at Automechanika Shanghai in a couple of weeks and, finally, do you remember our giveaway competitions? Check out who won the first of the two competitions.

Like what you see? Why not forward it to a friend?

PicoScope NVH episode 6: NVH noise and sound analysis

Steve Smith and Frank Massey talk about using the microphone on Channel D in combination with the accelerometer. They cover the importance of where the microphone is placed and how to analyze the result.

Another two new Guided Test videos:

Multi-point injection – injector voltage and current
The purpose of this test is to monitor the injector voltage and current to determine the integrity of the injector circuit and the operation of the injector.

The purpose of this test is to evaluate a Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor’s inductive referenced output voltage with the engine running.
