MT03A Milliohm & Motor Tester

The ultimate low-resistance testing tool

The Milliohm & Motor Tester (MT03A) is a revolutionary device capable of changing the way low-resistance testing is performed. The MT03A offers resistance testing of all windings on any 3-phase motor in under a minute, producing highly accurate results that can automatically compensate for temperature using the included sensor. The MT03A is suitable for electric and hybrid vehicles.

You may have already spotted the MT03A in our recent newsletter. Since then, Steve has put together an all-new video demonstration of its capabilities. This can be found below.

You can view our MT03A newsletter special in your browser, or pre-order the tester as part of the PQ326 Pico Milliohm & Motor Tester Starter Kit, on our website.

High accuracy resistance testing with the new MT03A Milliohm & Motor Tester

Steve uses the MT03A to carry out a 3-phase motor winding resistance measurement, whilst also demonstrating the logging feature when measuring bus bar contact resistance.

Our time at Vision 2023

Vision 2023 in Kansas City, Missouri is one of the largest automotive trade shows in the US and is certainly the largest on-site training show. This year, Pico Technology introduced a new exhibit, manned by Bob Baker and Randy Dillman.

We have put together a summary of our experiences at Vision 2023 on our website. Click on the link below to check out the full article.

Using dual in-cylinder pressure transducers

We are delighted to feature a guest case study this month, put together by the team at Autonerdz:

"It's no secret how beneficial the use of a pressure transducer can be. Being able to convert the pressure of the physical world into a voltage signal we can analyze with our scope gives us the ability to quantify things that we wouldn't be able to otherwise.

In this example we're going to look at a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 5.7L V8. The driver's complaint is that the engine runs rough and the check engine light is on and flashing. A P0302 cylinder 2 misfire diagnostic trouble code was retrieved from the ECM. The client has replaced the ignition coil and 2 spark plugs for cylinder 2. For reference this engine has the Multiple Displacement System that deactivates cylinders 1,4,6,7."

Be sure to check out the full case study on our website!
