I'm Newt Ball. I work for Space Sciences Lab, University of California, Berkeley. We have the job of producing a source to drive the Faraday Cup Experiment aboard the Solar Probe Plus mission to the sun. The source produces a complicated waveform that can vary within the range of -2KV to +8KV. I don't have a lot of high voltage experience, so I want to use instrumentation that can show me long traces of fast, high voltage pulses. I want to use the "coil on plug" extender and the secondary ignition non-contact high voltage probe, to display my output waveforms, and to help me reverse engineer a "coil on plug" coil, for use in one of my sources.
Does anyone on this forum know of a school in the western United States, that teaches the use of the Pico automotive scope, and accessories?
