ps7 not finding devices

Post by scopedog »

hi guys,

im having issues with ps7 not finding my scope when connected works fine on ps6
I have tried both my 4425 and 4425a with a genuine USB 3.

ps7 was working fine but now can't find devices, I have also re-installed ps7 but still not finding any devices

has anyone else had this issue??

thanks scopedog

If you have a look in Windows Device Manager, is the pico recognized correctly?

Hello and thank you for the post

Could you provide the version number of PS7 you are using?

Could you indicate if this occurs with both Stable and Early Access?

Could you test the following:

Ensure all PS7 and PS6 versions are closed

Ensure all PicoDiagnositcs versions are closed

Open PS7 with your scope connected to the PC/Laptop

Wait for the error to occur (i.e. "Cannot open or find device")

Close the software and obtain the trace file (do not reopen the software at this stage)

To obtain the trace file the following video will help
https://drive.google.com/file/d/186II4J ... sp=sharing

There maybe a number of trace files, the trace file required will have the date and time of the above session of PicoScope 7 next to the trace file

The trace file will contain information surrounding your PC etc, therefore if you wish to protect this information could you email your trace file to support@picotech.com reference this forum post

I hope this helps, take care....Steve
