Re: Forum password & Waveform Database access

You will need an automotive scope connected to the computer you are accessing the WF DB with and the same password you use for the forum should work. Bear in mind that Picoscope 7 which is still a beta  :D does not yet work with the WF Library. :( If not please post the following details: Scop...

Re: 4425A Standard kit

Baz The black leads you refer to are not fuse extensions they are HT extension leads for use in conjunction with the secondary pick up leads. If you have a 4 channel standard kit according to the kit list here:  https://www.picoauto.com/products/automotive-oscilloscope-kit/picoscope-4000-seri...

Re: One waveform One picture

Certainly an "Interesting Adventure....." :) Replacement fuel pumps are another example of horrible looking WF's measured immediately after fitting there does however seem to be a distinct correlation between the "Quality" of the pump and the quality of the WF! . Measure them after a bunch of...

Re: Hi from south of france

A lifetime ago when I was young fit and foolish I was a fire and rescue marshal at Silverstone. One day I was marshalling a club meeting on what was in those days the "Club" circuit and one of the races was the Citroen 2Cv cup. They sped off from the start finish straight, made it around Copse witho...

Re: Make my own guided test?

If you set up your waveform with all the channels and ranges as you want them the go to save as and the default is psdata. Use the drop down menu and select pssettings. Then give it a file name and save it to a location of your choice, then whenever you want to perform that test you simply select an...

Re: oem software

You will need to speak to Toyota Technical as the software for all OEM scopes is licenced / locked via the VM. The OEM hardware is normally locked to a specific OEM software and the standard general release SW will not always work with your hardware, however it is always worth trying the normal Pico...

Re: Further audio analysis techniques

Sorry Steve but I have to disagree with your diagnosis on this occasion.

You have conclusively proved that the issue is a duck tapping a wooden spoon on the inside of the bell housing.

Hope you and yours are surviving the strange times we live in. 8)

Re: Manufacturer scopes

I suspect you will find the answer will probably be no! :( Pico manufacture specific scopes and software for manufacturers to use within their licensed and propriety software. The hardware and software is locked together to prevent amongst other things the use of shall we say less than official soft...

Re: Just got a scope. What software?

John,

The OEM hardware is normally locked to a specific OEM software and the standard general release SW will not usually work with your hardware.
Your dealer tech support should be your first port of call.
