Good evening,
I have an opel corsa 1.2 16v x12xe engine with a failure in cylinder # 3, it fails at all times and the scanner says it has misfire in cylinder 3, it has changed the injectors to be tested and spark plugs and coil, compression Measure gives us 12kg but the engine fails as soon as we start, I send an oscillogram to see if someone can help me, I don't have much experience with picoscope
I think of an escape fault but can someone explain to me how to understand the oscillogram
Thank you very much in advance
regards
There are several problems here as I can see however:
- add channel description, what am I looking at?
- is the ignition channel connected to spark plug 3? Why do I see 4 ignition events?
1. Exhaust pressure is too high, 430 mbar, possible blocked exhaust, remove oxygen sensor 1 and repeat test.
2. Ignition event 21 degrees before top dead center at 890 rpm? This looks like chain out of time to me.
Remove cylinder head cover, check chain for slack and camshafts for position in reference to the crankshaft.
Since you are not using a WPS500, your zero(atmospheric pressure) level is probably wrong due to the characteristics of your pressure transducer when exposed to heat and the dynamic pressure conditions of a running test. Do you have an analog backpressure gauge you can put in an upstream exhaust sensor hole to verify exhaust backpressure?
Sorry for the delay, in the end the problem came from a loose screw in the exhaust camshaft number 2 and another broken support number 5 in the intake camshaft
Thank you very much for your interest and your help
