Hello All,
I want purchase picoscope but I can see there two major categories i.e. automotive oscilloscopes and normal oscilloscopes. So I want understand...
1. What is difference automotive oscilloscopes and normal oscilloscopes?
2. What if advantages of automotive oscilloscopes over normal oscilloscopes?
3. What if in automotive application I use normal oscilloscopes?
I think it would be good to start here topic19501.html?&p=87821&hilit=2204#p87821 where we describe the use of the Test & Measurement scope (2204A) within automotive applications
It has just occurred to me how dated the above forum post link is (2018) and so I will add a new updated version ASAP
Since 2018 we have seen the introduction of:
PicoScope 7 software for Automotive
PicoScope 4425A with BNC+
BNC+ probes
Introduction of Pico EV kit
EV Guided Tests
Pico Toolbox which incorporates the Reference Waveform Library (RWL) and Waveform Manager (with more to come)
All the above are only accessible and functional with an Automotive scope and to take advantage of BNC+ functionality an automotive 4225A or 4425A scope would be required
