Attenuator use

Hi,Ive recently purchased a second hand picoscope. im currently using a 2003 skoda octavia 1.6 petrol as a guinea pig to educate myself in scope use for diagnosis. it has a single coil pack that supplies the 4 cylinders via ht leads. im wondering about primary and secondary ignition and do i need to use an attenuator to get a waveform? or can i use the amp meter?

Any information would be greatly appreciated

For secondary, you need ht extension wires and capacitive probes. For primary, depends what scope model you have. Which is a secret as you won’t say?
