This car hesitates and swithes off. There are no fault codes.
I am working on this v6 Ford Ranger with DIS ignition. I have connected the current clamp to the supply voltage for the coil. This is the pattern I have. I cannot make any sense of it Why does it have 2x (signal?) at times.
Found the fault on this car. The crank sensor was at fault. It was adjusted too close too the pickup wheel, all I did was take it a few millimeters back and the car revs up. This makes absolutely no sense to me. I have attached pics of the CKP at idle. The pic with the higher amplitude is when the Car idles but does not rev/switches of as soon as the throttle is depressed.
