Re: NVH sensor which use?

Hello Eric, sorry for the late reply as we have been attending the Automechanika event. Our perception of vibration differs from individual to individual and so "what level of vibration is acceptable" is an interesting question. If we take a first order tyre vibration as an example (T1 tyre imbalanc...

Re: Picoscope with I pad ?

Hello and thank you for your post. At present there are no immediate plans to release PicoScope 6 Automotive for Apple devices. However, there is a limited function version of PicoScope 6 (Test and Measurement) for Apple Mac devices available to download from the Test and Measurement site http://www...

The Twix Straw

Time for some light hearted waveform analysis. I was not sure where to place this post, so I have opted to go for “Best of the web” Waveform analysis is a skill of its own and requires “thinking time” I came across this phenomena whilst in Poland with a colleague at the “Intercars Show” and thought ...

Re: Using Multiple notes, and creating overlays

Hello and thanks for the suggestion, Could this feature be made to use the trigger from a sync cylinder as a start and finish of 720 degrees and paint it on the fly with the waveform? I do like the idea of instantly identifying the zero and 720 degree point after an ignition trigger when the screen ...

Re: compression test mazda rx8

Thanks for the feedback Jeff. Before you strip the engine it would be of great value if you could carry out a compression test, especially if you have the WPS 500 pressure transducer? If not, using a conventional gauge would help and once we know the offending rotor we could then see how this relate...

Re: compression test mazda rx8

Hello Jeff and thanks for the post. This is an interesting question and one we should try to simulate. I see no reason why we cannot carry out a relative compression test using the starter motor current in PicoScope. We have 3 compressions per revolution of the rotor. My understanding is we have 2 r...

Re: Using Multiple notes, and creating overlays

Hello and thank you for the post and suggestions The annotations feature has been mentioned and now in the ideas funnel/future feature request. This feature is ideal when reviewing waveforms allowing you to point out areas of interest or for education purposes when sharing with others. Rest assured ...

Re: Low amps clamp fault

Hello Leemack and sorry for the late reply. I have just taken a look inside the clamp and cannot see any serviceable components! I have also checked stock to see if we carry any replacement parts for the clamp but unfortunately we do not. The clap does have an array of "trim screws" mounted to the P...
