207 1.6 HDI P0087

I have a Peugeot 207 1.6HDI with a 2011 registration. VIN:VF3WA9HP0BW014035 ENG: 9HP EDC17C10 I have a persistent code coming back, which is P0087... Launch's description is Fuel Circuit, pressure measured in the injection rail lower than the setting. I have changed the fuel filter, done a leak off ...

Re: Astra rough idle

It was a schoolboy error on my behalf, when initially checking the MAF sensor I didn't read the idle voltage and compare to Autodata. The L/T fuel trim was at -13 and when the new MAF was fitted it was a lower voltage therefore making it run much leaner and eventually brought the L/T fuel trim up to...

Re: Astra rough idle

that's not what I asked for in the slightest, disconnecting the MAF proves nothing much & masks faults.I wanted to see the O2's . You crack on ! :? Hi Robski, managed to get some time on the Astra this afternoon. Hoping I've captured the waveforms you were looking for, I've managed to clamp ...

Re: Astra rough idle

Is inducing an air leak not forcing it lean? I've not simply disconnected the MAF, I've blocked and unblocked the breather.
And my Voltage scale has increased.
What are the specifics you'd like to see?

Re: Astra rough idle

Here are a couple waveforms I've captured. It's not letting me upload them for some reason.

Re: Astra rough idle

Just managed to get about half an hour performing a few more tests around an abundance of other work, you know how it is! S/T Fuel trim is at -13 when the lambda is saying rich 0.9V. Clear the codes and induce an air leak, the voltage then plummets to 0.1V. So I've done some MAF & Lambda tests and h...

Re: Astra rough idle

Haven't had chance today to note the fuel trim numbers, I'll get them when I can.
Here is the psdata file.
I've had chance to test another lambda probe which I know is operating correctly, but I still can't eliminate all noise, my connection to the negative on the battery is secure.

Re: Astra rough idle

I had both earth leads straight to the battery and hung accross the engine bay using hooks. My figures for everything else have looked good. Are there any other specifics I should try to adopt when scoping?

Astra rough idle

I have an 05 Astra with idle problems, it starts up fine but after bringing the revs up it either stalls or hiccups once it returns to the usual idle speed. Engine is Z18XE. I've cleaned the throttle body and used Launch to open the throttle wide open and it is operating fine. Checked for air leaks ...
