Tools->Preferences->Options and tick Spectrum then you will get a new button on the toolbar that will perform a SoftwareFFT

Tools->CustomProbes->Import

This is perfectly normal and expected operation for your settings. What is happening is that initially the scope selects the 5V range as it detects a 2.5V injector spike, but as you are free running without a trigger occasionally there is a buffer with no injector signal and the trace sitting at 0.7...

The 4824 is not an automotive scope so will not work with the automotive or diagnostic software, you will need the 4823.

After January 14, 2020, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or support for PCs with Windows 7.

Our advice is to go for a new Windows 10 Laptop.

Nowadays the guidance is that If the Laptop can run Windows 10 then it will be able to run PicoScope software.

There is a Tick Box at the bottom of the Automotive menu to show Web help.
