Re: abnormal cop 3 wire circuit design

Hi colley390!

Have a look at attached file with a 3 wire COP from a BMW E46 as an example. Did also put some text on how it works.

Regards

Re: PicoScope 6: Spectrum view not visible

RG316 with single shield is a good choice since it is flexible and withstand heat and rather resistant against petrol and oil. Never thought about using it as probe cable for automotive use though. I mostly use them in RF and with SMA connectors, but BNC with rubber boot will be just perfect. Think ...

Re: Opel Agila B 2012 ESP fault

Well done liviu2004 and thanks for sharing! Interesting reading about your thoughts and what you did to solve the fault. If you do not mind, could you please take some closer pictures on the board when you get the sensor on Tuesday. If components on the other side, that one as well. It is always int...

Re: Alternator Ripple Test

Hi Mk1_Oz

Could you please upload, if you still have them, any of these spiky captures you took? It would be very interesting to have a closer look at them.

Re: Real time multimeter during capture

Hi Mastertech02! Yes you can! By clicking measurement, green button with white plus below the scope screen, you can select real time measurements which shows up after one is selected in the menu as a DMM, or digital readout if you wish, below the scope screen. In my capture I added rulers just to sh...

Re: Renault Megane strange engine...

HI Victor! That capture looks pretty much like the one I had when a glow plug washer did not seal. It was not that pronounced as in your capture though – it was just a small dip at back of the compression tower. I still have the capture in one of our PC’s, I can search for it if you would like to se...

Re: 4425 does it support AWG

Sadly I do not think so as there is no output port for any kind of function generator, but there are other Pico models like for instance the 2000 and 5000 series that has. The only way would be, for a scope like yours, if one of the channel inputs where switchable between the front-end of the scope ...

Re: COP second generation

Hi Technician! I saw that no one had answered your question about the second generation TA204 COP probe. I believe that one of two reasons is a somewhat better sensitivity because of how the probe pickup is constructed and for the second, also more handy to use thanks to the flexible arm, which make...

Re: WPS600

Hello Ben! Sorry for late reply, I have been real busy during this week at school. I work as part time educator in automotive electronics and I am also the only one technician at our school and do repair on everything at component level, ranging from guitars, guitar, bass amplifiers to welders or ot...
