Re: Noise Audible measurement.

Hi Jaycon, at present we do manufacture an NVH kit (Noise Vibration and Harshness) for use with OEM's (Original equipment manufacturers) with specific software for their vehicles. However during early 2014 this will be released to the Aftermarket as an extension to the Pico Diagnostics platform whic...

Re: Diesel injection effects on fuel rail pressure sensor

Well Taho, you were not wrong when you said "good luck". I have been trying to power a fuel rail pressure sensor on a donor vehicle using a stable 5V supply and earth independent of the ECM to retest the theory. This is not my concern as this is reasonably easy, my concern has been trying to convinc...

Re: Diesel injection effects on fuel rail pressure sensor

Many thanks Taho for your input, it really does help. I will try to carry out the same tests over the next week or so using a separate power supply and earth independent of the vehicle at the fuel rail pressure sensor. I will then retest and view the effects on the fuel rail pressure sensor output a...

Re: Diesel injection effects on fuel rail pressure sensor

So Sorry I have taken so long to follow up this quest but it’s been a little busy (No excuses I know) To cut a long story short regarding the effects on common rail pressure and Diesel injector operation, I have carried out 2 tests, the first of which on a 2007 BMW 318d. The plan was to look at the ...

Re: New forum Member

Hi Debbie and thanks for the data you sent, sorry I have not responded sooner. Looking at the data it is very strange to see that every alternate cylinder reports low efficiency which indicates one bank of cylinders, given this vehicle is equipped with a flat plane crankshaft. If you “right click” o...
