Hi John, I'm sorry to hear about this problem. It sounds like the software didn't get installed correctly. Do you also have a demo version installed on the same PC? That could be causing problems. Best thing to do is install it again but make sure you do a fresh install by removing any previous inst...

Hi Thank you for your enquiry. You need to select the petrol Relative Compression test from the Automotive menu and your 600A current clamp should be positioned on one of the two battery connections as described in the Relative Compression help file.

Best regards,

Hi Willie,

Thank you for your enquiry. The current flow on the secondary circuit is very small so it is not something worth looking at. We normally look at the current on the primary circuit by using the 60A clamp included in the kit.

Best regards,

Hi Paco,

The inputs to the Pico Automotive oscilloscope share a common ground, so if you are using multiple channels on the scope they will all have to be connected to the same ground.

Hi,

Thank you for your enquiry. I personally have never used a pickup lead on a scooters ignition system but I can't see why it would not work. If there is a high voltage going down the wire then the pickup should see it, its essentially a 10k:1 attenuator.

Best Regards,

Totally agree with Tom, the auto kit would be ideal. It includes a secondary ignition pickup lead (2 if you get the advanced kit) which simply clamps round your HT lead. Unfortunately, as Tom mentioned you won't be able to measure RPM directly, but you can easily calculate it from your ignition trac...
