Re: Quiescent Current Measurement without Current Clamp

Hello Steve, Thank you for taking the time to deep dive into this topic. I have one suggestion, why don't we use the manufacturer installed battery sensor as a shunt resistor? Generally these are 100 micro Ohm shunt resistors with a monitoring circuit. By using this method we have the advantage of n...

Re: protocol SENT

Engine was running at idle during this recording.

If you're able to decode it, please do share :-)

Re: protocol SENT

Hi Guys,

Attached is a SENT waveform from an air intake pressure/temperature sensor on an M260 W177 Mercedes-Benz A200.

You will need the SENT Fast decode.

Sorry I don't have any reference files to decode this signal.
Cheers

Quiescent Current Measurement without Current Clamp

Good morning all, I recently read through a math article by Steve regarding using an inline 0.1Ohm resistor instead of using a current clamp to avoid probe drift etc. Firstly, fantastic idea, and so I started to look for panel mount resistors with a high wattage. The highest I could find would be 30...

Re: Key fob testing

Hi Guys, In my opinion trying to test a key fob, with a carrier frequency of around 433Mhz is not possible with an oscilloscope with 20Mhz bandwidth. You would need an oscilloscope with a bandwidth of at least 1Ghz to perform these measurements. These type of scopes are incredibly expensive. What wo...

BNC Extension Cable - Female to Male

Hi Guys, Wondered if you had plans to sell a BNC extension cable, but with a female to male end. The reason I ask is because I frequently have issues with cable length when performing CAN bus wakeup measurements. I don't want to extend the regular test leads as this will give too much capacitance in...

Re: Serial Decoding output to ASCII or BLF format

Hello Ben,

Thank you for your feedback.

Hopefully in the future this can be implemented, this way I can have workshops send me CAN/LIN/Flexray trace data via the Picoscope.

Cheers,
Ash

Re: Serial decoding

Hi Liviu2004,

I think you need CANalyzer or CANApe for such functions, if you don't mind the swallowing the price of this software..

Cheers,
Ash

Re: Serial Decoding output to ASCII or BLF format

I can send an example ASCII recording if required, but the forum does not accept this type of file.

Thank you.

Serial Decoding output to ASCII or BLF format

Hi Guys, One for the support guys here I guess. Is there any possibility in the future of being able to output the serial decoding log to ASCII or BLF format? I see at the moment there are only .csv and .ods format available The reason why I ask is because ASCII and BLF format can be imported into V...
