Peugeot 307 misfire cold.

Hello here I am again with a problem car, a Peugeot 307 2.0 petrol with rfn engine from 2002. This car misfires and backfires when you hit the throttle with a cold engine. I have tested the fuel pressure, this is good, and I scoped the coil pack, this is where I need help. The events don't look good...

Re: Fiat 1.6 2001 primary.

Hello, a final update for this vehicle, the coil pack made it run a lot better, but the map reading at idle remained high, because I couldn't find any air leaks I decided to check the timing again, this is done with a locking tool in the back of the camshafts because the sprockets have no keys. Then...

Re: Fiat 1.6 2001 primary.

Hello, this car has a map sensor, not a maf. Sometimes I've got the idea when the car runs at idle it misfires, I will try to make a capture when it does this, maybe we can see something. Also the map reading at idle stays at 500 mbar, and I can't find any leaks.

Re: Fiat 1.6 2001 primary.

Hello, put on another coil with leads and new spark plugs. It runs better but still not 100%.
I attatched the psdata for you to have a look, the complete misfire is gone but i think it is still rough.

Re: Fiat 1.6 2001 primary.

Hello, ScannerDanner i can't see fuel trim numbers because it is not obd compliant but can only bee diagnosed by fiat specific plug. Thanks for the picture of the lean misfire, it helps me in trying to understand the waveforms, also started watching your youtube channel it is very informative. Robsk...

Re: Fiat 1.6 2001 primary.

Hello, i did a flow test and the pump deliverd in 30 seconds 1 liter fuel. Don't have the specs for that.
I also did the primary test with snap throttle, and i measured the current from the pump with engine off and let it turn for a while.

Re: Fiat 1.6 2001 primary.

No it has no regulator on the rail but it is build in the pump, it is a return less system.
Measured at the coil towers.
Fond the specs here: http://multipla.szakkor.hu/download/158 ... _Range.pdf , and in autodata.
Pdf file is from a Marea but it uses the same iaw49f system.

Re: Fiat 1.6 2001 primary.

Hello again, also thanks for your advice ScannerDanner, yes it is a wasted spark ignition with dis coil. Measured the fuel pump pressure tonight and it was 3.8 bar, it should be 3.0 +/- 0.2 bar, so it is on the high side in stead of low. Also measured the coils secondary resistance and this was 8800...

Re: Fiat 1.6 2001 primary.

Hello Robski, thanks you for your help, tomorrow I will try to measure the fuel pump pressure, it is a at home job so it has no hurry but has to be fixed cheap. What should the rpm be with a good pump? When I know more I will let you know.

Hello, I have captured the current and voltage at the fuel pump. I hope someone can help me in understanding it.
