CAN BUS question

Hi I am working on a 2007 Fiat Ducato with a fuel gauge not working. We have checked the tank sensor circuit to BCM and all is good. The BCM then sends the fuel message on the network via CAN to the cluster. I can operate the fuel gauge via the scan tool showing the CAN network is potentially good. ...

Re: Ford Transit cam vs crank wavform

Hi EAAD

Sorry its taken so long to come back to you.

The filter was allowing air into the system and causing a low pressure in the fuel rail. The PCM wouldn't trigger the injectors because the fuel pressure hadn't reached the threshold required for starting.

I hope this helps

Re: Ford Transit cam vs crank wavform

Hi

Turned out to be a poor quality fuel filter. OE filter was a fix!

A known good waveform will be uploaded onto the database as soon as I can.

Attached is the known good.

Ford Transit cam vs crank wavform

Hi I have a 2008 Ford Transit with a 2.4 H9FB engine. The garage I perform diagnostics for replaced the engine from Ford and hasn't started since. High pressure fuel pressure was low. I found some fuel leaks, which i repaired and fuel pressure now matches spec on IDS. The vehicle will start with a s...

Audi A6 Allroad BES Engine

Hi

I have a 2002 Audi A6 Allroad with a BES 2.7 V6 to look at tomorrow with suspected cam timing issues. Has anyone got a known good waveform for one of these?

I have checked the library but there is none there.

Regards

Floating ground

Hi Firstly I apologize if this question has been asked in the past ( I'm sure I've seen it but can't find it! ) Is it safe to test Pizo injectors by using ChA probe on the supply wire and earth on the trigger side of the injector plug to gain a trace that way? I read that this is a way to get a ' tr...

Re: Maths Channel

Hi Robski

You could be right. I will play with the probes.

I was thinking that if you know that say 0.5 Volts is 0 bar and 4.5 Volts is 1600 bar there must be a maths channel/Custom probe to calculate this.

Any help would be be great
