Re: Abs light

Hello and thank you for the feedback “I’m not sure that it refers to speed sensors, looking on the internet you can find only that error description.” This concerns me as we must understand the description of the code or we are diagnosing parts of the ABS system that may not be relevant to the fault...

Re: Abs light

Hello and thank you for the feedback Could you confirm the fault code generated is referring to a wheel speed signal? There is a very interesting line in Possible Causes “Modifications/Retrofits” Could we confirm wheel and tyre are the specified diameter, tyre configuration/circumference are the sam...

Re: New Member/Snapon transducer use

Hello and thank you for the post. You can most certainly use your Snap On Pressure Transducer with the 4425A (or any other PicoScope for that matter) You can create a custom probe as we describe here We need to know the ouput...

Re: Abs light

Hello and thank you for the feedback I assume from the description “ABS Operation: Implausible Signal” this is referring to Speed Signals? If so, I would use 4 x Scope channels to capture 4 x wheel speed signals over a slow time frame as in the Case Study link above. We need to capture the operation...

Re: Abs light

Hello and thank you for the post. Looking at your capture, this would appear to be interruption of the ABS speed signal when measured using voltage. ( This is not necessarily a fault ) If you measure the ABS sensor current flow instead of the voltage, the signal is near immune to the operation of th...

Re: Renault Kangoo II 2010 - No crank/No start

Hello and thank you for the post and sharing on our forum Just reading through the post could I follow up on the original DTC P019062 Would you have a “Detection condition” for the code from the VM? i.e. What are the conditions that occur for DTC P019062 to occur? Could I ask if this code is always ...

Re: Maths is cool

Hello and thank you for the posts once again Referring back to “Pico to display / indicate the "effective" voltage applied onto the component when it's being controlled by a negative PWM...” I have been testing the Volume Control Valve (VCV) attached to a Bosch High Pressure Diesel Pump which is con...

Re: Noise Cancellation with Audacity

Well Martin, if the whine (from him or her) is continuous and falls in a specified frequency range, then perhaps there is still hope we can remove this "Offending noise"!

That would be a miracle which no doubt takes a little longer than the impossible.

Take care.....Steve

Re: Raster style display of waveforms

Hello and thank you for the post. I like the idea for sure and can see the benefits of Raster Style capture with a Persistence view (Especially with secondary ignition events) I will add this suggestion to the PS7 Feedback system and it will be discussed and prioritised during our fortnightly meetin...
