Injector flow monitored with a psi transducer on the rail

Hello guys
I had a few requests for this,so here are my captures that I used in my latest video. I took these at idle and at higher RPMs.
a. Idle.psdata
Idle speed
(1.49 MiB) Downloaded 875 times
b. 2000 RPM.psdata
2000 RPM
(1.49 MiB) Downloaded 832 times
c. 2500 RPM.psdata
2500 RPM (not sure what happened to rail pressure here. I looks like the pump in interfering with the ability to see the injectors here?
(1.54 MiB) Downloaded 820 times
d. 3000 RPM.psdata
3000 RPM, it is cleaner here, but I believe the psi drops from the injectors are more delayed in timing to the electrical function of the injector at this speed.

Re: Fiat 1.6 2001 primary.

Hello, this car has a map sensor, not a maf. Sometimes I've got the idea when the car runs at idle it misfires, I will try to make a capture when it does this, maybe we can see something. Also the map reading at idle stays at 500 mbar, and I can't find any leaks. If it is a MAP engine (speed densit...

Re: Fiat 1.6 2001 primary.

Hello, put on another coil with leads and new spark plugs. It runs better but still not 100%. I attatched the psdata for you to have a look, the complete misfire is gone but i think it is still rough. That looks way better. Can you describe the "rough" symptom a little more? Rough idle? Rough under...

Re: Fiat 1.6 2001 primary.

I still say it looks like you have an ignition problem. Especially on the green trace, but I am also seeing it on the yellow trace on occasion. What you are looking at is NOT lean misfiring. Attached is what a typical lean misfire looks like on a snap throttle test. What are your fuel trim numbers? ...

Re: Kia scope vs pico

1 trigger.......1 channel ( selectable on pico ) The Kia scope sounds pants, but surely by adjusting the time base you could have seen the 2 waveforms on 1 screen ? What were the time bases you could select ? Thinking back, I should of been able to get them both on the screen. I didn't really obser...

Re: Single Cylinder Misfire/Compression Waveforms

An update on this truck. Owner stated he replaced the crank sensor and the misfire code is now gone. He stated the old sensor was rubbing on the reluctor. This would explain the misfire code for sure and also why I couldn't find a problem with the #1 cylinder. (or any cylinder for that matter) My ma...

Re: Saved file viewing problems

Hi Dan, I suspect the only thing you did wrong was download the bunk 6.6.18 software. It is not usable. All is not lost though....Simply download and install the 6.6.23 and you will be able to examine your file.. Tom Thank you so much! That was the fix. I would upload the file but apparentl...

Saved file viewing problems

Hey guys, I saved this picture to show the full range of cam-crank relationship on a VVT system. Before I saved the file, the zoom feature worked great. Now when I need it, the file is not usable. Tell me what I am doing wrong. Ok, new problem. I cannot upload the original psdata file. It is 12.7MB....
