Thank you both. Sorry for my late response. I guess I don't have my settings right on the forum to send me notifications of responses. I'm going to have to learn more about how to post my actual waveforms. I did retest and moved my amp clamp around to different positions and it did lessen the 'noise...

Strange Current waveform?

Hello,

I took a waveform off all the injectors on a 1996 Mercury Marquis 4.6L. Two of them show a strange current waveform, (image attached). Could anyone help guide me on how to interpret this? All the rest of the injectors looked normal, but 5 & 6 looked like this.

Thanks! I appreciate that. Just so that I can get better at reading my Pico screen, what all tells me the pump is bad? Is it just the uneven wafeform humps, or is it also the current level too high or too low, or the RPM out of range?

Hello, I'm new at this. Could someone help me determine if this is a good fuel pump or not? It's from a 2005 Pontiac Vibe (which is a Toyota with a Pontiac emblem on it). I have a Pico 2204A so I don't have access to view the wafeform library being my scope isn't an automotive scope. I wish I could ...
