secondary waveform kv scale

Post by chrisangus »

How do i change the kv scale using the secondary dis preset?
it shows up to 27kv and seems too compact and unstable, version 5 shows up to 12 kv with a scrollable screen to 27kv.

get totally different readings in v5 and beta 6

Custom Probes

Post by Autonerdz »

Hi Chris,

The selections from the automotive library do not open the same in version 5 and 6. For example, the DIS neg fired example sets trigger improperly when opened in V6. This would make the waveform unstable on the screen. It's a -3-27KV range.

The automotive library is nice and has a lot of information, but the waveform setups are not optimized for best performance anyway and experienced automotive users do not use them.

In PicoScope 6, your ranges from a file get pulled into the 'Loaded' section of Custom Probes when you open up a file. To get more range selections, you need to get out of that section and into the 'Built In' section and select the appropriate KV range. You can also copy a range into your library so you can edit it as desired to create more settings within that probe range.

Then you adjust trigger, time base, number of samples, to get the desired capture.
