My first scope

Post by Autoflashx431 »

I’ve been in this trade since I was 12 years old and now I’m going to turn 60 and I broke down and bought a new four channel pico scope

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Your years of experience will pay dividends for sure when you start using your scope.

Rest assured there is plenty to read here and support from all.

Enjoy this journey

Take care......Steve

All those years when you could have been using it..... Never mind, with the 4425 (I assume) with its floating inputs, ‘future proofing’ and outstanding automotive and diagnostic software, you’ll soon see it as one of the best decisions you ever made.

Can I suggest 2 video tutorials made by that excellent fellow ScannerDanner?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81AGbZcgCZs. PicoScope basics Part 1

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntJJYhkmR4I. PicoScope Basics Part 2

Part 2 taught me a lot because despite my having used oscilloscopes before, I’d never properly understood some aspects. So Part 2 is definitely worth watching now, and, after a while, it’ll make even more sense. So well worth watching more than once.
