Need to refresh this topic. I have a focus econetic 1.6 tdci 63 plate and have a similar problem, dpf regent temp will not go above 550deg.
Checked:
-Glow plug on vaporiser- .7 ohm
-flow through on pipes from vaporiser pump to end of vaporiser -all clear
- power going to glow plug while regent is happening- all ok
- relay is engaging, all good,
-pump is working, fuel going into the vaporiser,
- both temp sensors.
I'm getting .48kpa on pressure difference sensor and builds up to 2.5kpa while running 2500rpm
Could any of you tell me what should I check?
Could it be not enough oxygen?
Now I got a mil with soot accumulated-filter restriction.
I have the exact same situation with not going over 550 degrees and P244c error.
Vaporizer was changed 2 years ago and apparently everything is fine but it isn't. Could it be that the fuel pump doesn't pump enough fuel ?
What's is the dog soot loading open and closed loop?
Which egt is reading your 550deg egt 11 or 12 .
Not hitting target temp at 550 we are not a million miles away , exhaust leaks ,egr cooler pypass? , Throttle body ? Usually all of the above would give you a dtc.
Could be as simple as a crack in the dpf substrate do you have soot in the tailpipe ?
I am having the same problems with my 2011 mondeo
I have changed the DPF and the vaporiser but it keeps coming up with P244C Temperature to low
temperature gets to 560 on EGT12
Very frustrating and costly trying to get it fixed.
I have seen a few "remanufactured" units that have had the bosses for egt13 replaced due to shearing off.
This causes the temp sensor to sit out of the hottest part of the exhaust gas.
If you connect one channel of the scope to vaporiser pump duty and one to egt 11(cat temp nearest engine) and one to get 13.
You will see the pump duty increase and the a huge difference between egt 13 and 11.
