According to Toyota, if I am not mistaken, the blue signal should be right between the missing tooth on red signal, not where it is now.
Don't put any eggs in that basket. For Example. Mercedes will give you Cam Crank Diagrams in WIS and Star Guided Tests that you would like to think are accurate and you will trust them - NO !! They are all wrong.
Vehicle Manufacturers cannot get MPG / L/100km figures right. What chance with the real technical stuff ???
If you can get a known good that would be the best.

That would surely make some sense as the timing has been taken out and re-assembled, and the Crank/Cam signals are in the exact same place as before.
Here is a very good video on Youtube about the pump. The pump has been changed and inspected by a well known specialist.
Here are the traces from the timing solenoid. There is definetly someting wrong with it but can not put my finger on it.
-Here I can see the voltage rising, so the coil is reserving. But in the first two traces there is no current drawn? After that it is normal. In this condition, we have a fault code about the timing solenoid.
-Here is a capture that looks normal, and it is like the reference waveform.
-Same situation with timebase switched from 20 to 10ms.
-At the lower part of the page there is a reference waveform.
So in conclusion I believe there is something wrong in that circuit. But is it the coil, wiring, the driving transistor or the MCU?
But as for the start-up, I don't think that the timing control solenoid is needed as mechanical timing is accurate enough to start the engine. I will test and reverse the crank sensor wires. If the wires are mixed, that will result in the fault code for the timing control solenoid, as the measured/wanted timing deviates more than 7 degrees.
Sorry about using that scope, but I don't have access to that Pico right now as I am not at work.
