Trouble with PicoScope drivers

Post by JorGdiondo »

Hi, I hope someone can help me. I'm having trouble with the installation of picoscope on a Fujitsu LIFEBOOK T730 which has windows 7 professional 32-bit SP1 Intel Core i5 CPU M 520 2.40GHz, 4.0GB RAM. I'm trying to install build 6.10.11.15 and it installs ok, but when I connect Pico to the Laptop for the first time, it can't find the drivers and I get a message that "windows can't find the correct drivers for the application"(even tough I have AutoEnginuity wich uses USB connection, and it works just fine).

So I tried to launch Pico anyways, and it opens in demo mode even tough pico is connected. When I connect pico to my desktop, it works just fine( build 6.8.8.16 and beta 6.10.3.14). I've look for help on the AutoNerdz forum, and after screen sharing with them, they pointed me in this direction.

Thank you.

Have you worked through Section 1 of the self help guide ?

If yes, and you are still having difficulties, then please send us the trace.xml file mentioned on Page 5

couldn't find how to send trace.xml file, but I did get help by screen sharing at AutoNerdz again, I think what they did is redirect manually to the pico drivers, thanks for all the help. :D

Jorge,

Your welcome.

Glad we were able to get that going for you. We still have no idea why that particular PC was having trouble initializing the drivers but, after the first attempt, we had another idea. Glad we had a chance to try it and that it was a success. Andrew is pretty good at this stuff. 8)
