Amp Clamp. Plese help.

Post by veejful »

Hello Folks,
I"m new to this forum. I'm buying a Snap On high amp clamp from a friend of mine. Model number is EETA502C (400A-2000A). My question is, can it be used with the pico scope? I don"t own a Pico 600A clamp nor the 2000A.It's little cheap. So I have the both in a one. Have guys had any experiences with using a different clamp with your pico? Your in put on this would be highly appreciated. Thanx!

Yes, I don't have the real pico amp probes. I guess what I have is the generic version of them. You can set up a custom probe to make a matching probe for what you have. I didn't have the BNC connection on my probes so had to connect them to the end of one of the standard banana to bnc cables. I'm guessing this is where noise can be generated, but it works.
