Got a Z12XE  typical

What's the manifold vac/MAP ?
Fuel trims ?

Obviously if it's rattling somethings amiss :?

If you cant find a good one then post yours up, I will check my archive Monday to see if I have one.

I take it this has no codes stored?

Couple of other things you could check, Robski has stated some, but grab a relative compression, and for good measure get a MAF v O2 , (snap Throttle) the chains are common as you know, but never the quietest of engines ..

Do you have a wps?

Darren

Hi Rob/Darren i couldnt get psdata file to upload when making my orignal post hopfully will work this time.
Fuel trims were around 08% long and 10% short.
I didnt do any other tests just had quick look at car this week, its booked in for chain kit on tuesday.
I was going to do vac test but dont know if a 3cyl has the same vac readings as a 4cyl :?:
It is fairly rattely thats why i ordered new kit, was just looking for waveform to compare to see if it looked very far out(jumped a tooth or 2) or if it was just stretched.
Darren i dont have a WPS its on the wish list :)
Thanks Damian

Sounds like you got this in hand, but i can only find Z12XE known good, so if these are the same then I would agree with Robski
Known Good Z12XE

Got this sorted today the chain had nearly worn through the side cover.
Inlet cam was less than a tooth out but not lining up(chain stretch) but exhaust cam was about 3 teeth out.
It now runs as good as a 3cyl corsa can, still sounds crap :D
Thanks again for replies, and as promised the after trace.
Damian.

Ps tried to do relitave compression test on car but my 600amp clamp(TA019) is now reading over the 600amp scale when it is switched on and not connected to car has anyone seen this before is it repairable :?:

And there's the difference between CKP/CMP syncs & running compression test with a WPS, unless each cam has a sensor of course :?

Cheers for taking the time for a known good Damian
