I'm having trouble getting Pico 7 to function normally on my surface pro. 16gb ram and 250 ssd, i5 gen7 Surface Pro7+. It acts like there is not enough memory, but I have plenty not being used. Not really a computer guy but I'm trying.
Steve,
Thanks for checking in on me.
Surface Pro7+ Model 1960 i5
Currently has PS7- 7.0.109.12623
Do not have a blue Pico cable.
Model 4223
No usb-c conversion-straight into usb a on side of the Surface.
Windows is up to date. Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. Version 22H2
No other apps running, There may be some background that I don't see.
I have a usb monitor attached but it acts up whether monitor is attached or not.
Not sure of error messages from windows.
How do I get a psdata file?
Also, does not seem to matter if I am using my 4223 or a demo version.
I would like you to install build 7.0.116 Early Access and try this for comparison to 7.0.109 (Both versions can reside on the same device) You can download PS7 Early Access here https://www.picoauto.com/downloads
A ".psdata" file is the name given to the file format that you save when capturing data
For example, capture any waveform (e.g. Crank sensor) using the settings where you experience "It acts like there is not enough memory"
One you have a waveform displayed, select "Save" at the top of your screen, name (e.g. my crank sensor) and save the file to any location on your device
This named and saved file will be your .psdata file (E.g "my crank sensor.psdata")
You can then attach this .psdata file to your forum post where I can take a look at the settings being used and try to replicate the symptom
Steve,
Thanks for the reply. I'll see about picking up a cable from Autonerdz this weekend, I am going to one of their in person classes. I have intentions of taking this laptop to class and having them look at it as well.
I'll make a couple captures and send to you.
