Starting current

Post by stargazer2050 »

Cmx250 (honda rebel)

1. What is the start current?
2. What is the running current?
3. Does an attenuator work on a current clamp?

Got a pico 2204 i want to learn to use.
Got a 65amp hantek clamp to learn with. From the rebel forum we think the starter current is 14A, maybe 60A on start.

So... is it safe to use this amp clamp?, i is my 20x hantek attenuator usable? I'll take a running current first then try to capture a start up current?

What think yee?

I forgot to say it's for the current compression test

Ok,since amp clamps convert A to mV or V, I can’t see a reason why an attenuator is needed.
Remember, any oscilloscopes in this world plot voltage over time.
I think get some manual 1st and have a go.
