Hi from Colorado

Post by DJM »

Hi all,

I'm a former A&P mech/instructor, welder, hack machinist, and simple machine designer. Currently employed as a Hydro-electric power plant control operator.

I bought a 2205a to learn on and to help me with diagnosing my own vehicles since obd readers only get you so far. I hope I don't have to invest the thousands for one of the auto kits to get some help from the expertise here... And, I apologize in advance for some of the dumb questions I'll be asking.

Thanks,
/Dave

Hi Dave thank you for the introduction and welcome to the forum.

Please, never be apprehensive about posting. Rest assured there are no dumb questions and if you are asking, you can bet your life others would like to ask the same question or indeed interested in the answers

Your current profession sounds very interesting and we can all learn from your experience going forward.

Regarding your scope, you may have already seen these posts viewtopic.php?p=87821#p87821
viewtopic.php?p=97926#p97926

They highlight the limitations of your scope in Auto applications which will help when it comes to settings and analysis etc.

I hope this helps, take care.....Steve
