Nice one Sharpy, glad it was some help to you. Great to have another hgv tech this side of the pond to share stuff with. Keep them coming...I Have a load of saved files for case studies, its just getting the time to write them up like you have, and remembering to take pics :D

Hi!

Very interesting information you have posted. Thought I maybe could get some hints from you. I have a truck coming to me tomorrow with faultcode P016E "CLOSED LOOP FUEL PRESSURE CONTROL AT LIMIT - PRESSURE TOO HIGH"
Im thinking maybe its e-prev leaking thru to the lowpressure circuit.
If it isnt the valve what else do you suggest looking into?

Hi I would normally scope the fuel pressure sensor signal to see what is going on in the rail at idle and shut down I would usually expect around 1.6v at idle and expect it to take at least 40 seconds to decay when you turn it off, the odd thing is your fault code is pointing to pressure being high so I can't see the valve would be leaking but maybe it's not opening when commanded, are there any other codes with the P016E?
