Zoom overview

Postby volrem » Tue Jan 07, 2014 8:45 pm

Currently you have to grab from the box in the zoom overview window to move around. Or use scroll bar at bottom/side.

Would be very nice if you would be able to click on the area of interest and it would move there automatically. Same time keeping the zoom level.

Would it be possible?

Sorry if is present already but couldn't find it.

Hi Volrem and thanks for your post. I have looked at the zoom overview window and you are right, that is if you want to move along the waveform whilst remaining at the same view level you either scroll at the base of the scope screen or grab the zoom box within the overview window to move it to your location. I will add the suggestion to the software guys about "Clicking" to a new location (In the Zoom overview window) on the waveform rather than dragging. You could try an alternative attached below.

Take care......Steve

Thanks Steve.

You option works fine and i'm aware of other options also.

But none of these is as fast and convenient as clicking on zoom overview.

When zooming in from large view there is no problem but when moving around in zoomed mode (especially in 1000+ zoom level) it would be much simpler to click and then scroll if needed.
