Code read to complement my Pico

Post by Interrupt »

Hi folks,
I’ve just bought a pico scope and I wondering if there are any suggestions on a good code reader? I do a fare bit of plant and on highway Commercial work so something that can do both passenger & commercial would be good.(if there is such a beast)

Hi there, I've got a texa and run CAR and AGRI software, not used TRUCK software but all in all its a good tool. Sometimes you have to read things a few times becuase the italian hasn't been correctly translated, but the scope of what it can do is huge. Much more than a code reader. In car it will code injectors, keys, modules, etc.
Run activations, range of parameters is also good.
Its not dealer level and coverage is great on some makes and poor on others, no support for ford in codes yet. Still has the EOBD function on all applicale vehicles, on some systems its EOBD only.
Not a cheap kit, but certainly glad I have it.

Does anyone have or know anything about the Launch CReader 6? I've read a few views(but always by the seller) and it seems pretty good, wondering if anyone has used one and can give me a report?

Interrupt - the c reader is an obd2 compliant tool and will not work on everything with and obd plug. Example a vt v6 commodore is not compatible but a vt gen3 is. It will do obd2 codes and basic data for engine only
