pug boxer

Post by andybed »

anyone had trouble with a peugeot boxer 2.2d.same engine as transit, with denso common rail? vehicle storing codes for fuel pressure.runs very flat, only revs up to 1200rpm max then if you cycle key off and on it will run ok then when it decides it will play up again, scoped rail pressure sensor,at tickover its 2.5volts.at wot its 4.5volts.system tries to bring rail pressure back in line,as sometimes at tickover it will come down to 1.5volts,then rises back up to 2.5v.i think i need scope imv valve current vs volts to see some more info.maybe imv sticking.

DTC's ?

Desired & actual FRP ?

Injector leak off ?

Pump proof test ?

Does it have pressure relief at the rail like the Transit does ?

It will be a SCV not IMV on a Denso system.

No doubt if it's that it will want a re-learn.
system tries to bring rail pressure back in line
How do you know that if you think you need to scope the SCV current & volts ? live data ?

What scan tool are you using ?

PS post your captures so we can see what you've got ?

hi robski to answer, dtcs are written down at work im at home now,so that aint no help to you.from memory, desired frp was 300bar.actual 84 bar, using peugeot planet on live data.i think it does have pressure relief like transit.vehicle coming back in when owner has time.i just got started on it ,and he needed the van,so out it went.customers do.nt realise how long it takes to set up all the equipment,to gather all the info you need to make the right diagnostic decision.

Well if it were in a Transit & had certain DTC's a new pressure relief,SCV & calibration is well known. And a relearn.

What year is it & is the FRP being relieved ?

Is the fault random or when under load ?

Where's the captures of the FRP ?

well thanks for the compliment.... but I go by a saying ' you're only as good as your last job ' :D

Don't forget that some are just too ignorant to even realise the importance of a good scope, you're obviously not,Pico have the scope experience sewn up in my opinion

Get the FRP capture up we may be able to see something of value in it, hence my persistence .
