You are correct, the Pico Diagnostic Software as well as the Automotive PicoScope Software will only operate on the Automotive Oscilloscopes which are as follows:-
Thank you Lee, understood. Despite having a "non automotive" Picoscope, I have nevertheless been able to use it with success in automotive fault-finding. For instance I hooked it up to a current clamp meter that has a voltage output and recorded the cranking current to help understand loss of compression in one cylinder. I also reckon I could use the serial decoding to 'sniff' the CANBus if necessary.
