mixmaster channel c trigger

Post by benmixmaster »

Hi I have pico 4423 with the ignition mixmaster ,am wanting to scope 6 cyl DIS. and unshure if I need to use the trigger on channel c? what settings would I use on scope for this channel? (I want to be shure and have them displayed in firing order) I figured I would not need to use channel c to trigger but figured channel a cyl 1 could be triggered off of ,I suppose I may be wrong because I dont know if I would be setting the trigger on cylinder 1 since there are 3 cylinders in my 6 cylinder example per channel a bank.

You would need the trigger on C for sync so you can identify the cylinder events on A and B.

Whatever cylinder is in the bank A position one will be trigger out. So, just select the same polarity secondary probe for channel C trigger as bank A.

As long as you split the cylinders by polarity between the mixer bank A and B, the order of them does not matter. The events will be displayed in the firing order.

Hope this is helpful.
