Using the 2205 for automotive

Post by almaro »

I'm curious about the automotive diagnostics package, but i own a 2205, so not supported.
Is there any way to use the 2205 as a input device for the automotive package, even if that means that not all functions are available?
I 'm particulair interested in de diagnostics about compression and cylinder power output measurements.
As there is only a connection to the car battery and the 2205 can go upto 12bit, this should be possible isn it?

Ap, the Netherlands :D

The 2205 will not work with Picoscope 6 automotive software or Pico Diagnostics. If you are only interested in those particular tests, perhaps you could locate yourself a used Pico 3223 lab scope. Even new they are not very expensive.

Good luck! Later, Matt.
