Can I view ignition signals in raster & parade display modes with the diagnostics kit?

Raster & Parade Display Modes

Post by matthew » Fri Nov 15, 2002 12:20 pm

Some scopes & analysers have 8 or more channel and can be used to display secondary waveforms from each cylinder at the same time. This offers maximum flexibility, but is often expensive.

On our scopes you can do the following ...
Use one channel to monitor the king lead before the distributor - giving a parade type display.
(The second channel can be used as a trigger on #1 cylinder to make it obvious which channel is which)

The raster mode (multiplexing single waveforms into multiple channels) cannot be achieved with our hardware / software alone, however the following device can adapt secondary waveforms (especially on DIS systems) into a parade display.
