3223 protection specs

It has happened occasionally where I have had voltages in excess of 100V DC on my alternator test bench accidentally. Can the PicoScope 3223 endure this condition?

Hi Nathan

Thank you for your post.

It is not a good idea to expose the scope to such voltages and I would certianly not recommend it. The overvoltage protection is ±100V so anything above this could damage the unit.

Best Regards

Nathan,

You could run it with the 20:1 attenuator. This should protect it. Be sure to tell the software that it is there so it will scale accordingly.
