It has happened occasionally where I have had voltages in excess of 100V DC on my alternator test bench accidentally. Can the PicoScope 3223 endure this condition?

It is not a good idea to expose the scope to such voltages and I would certianly not recommend it. The overvoltage protection is Â±100V so anything above this could damage the unit.
You could run it with the 20:1 attenuator. This should protect it. Be sure to tell the software that it is there so it will scale accordingly.
