trigger documentation is very very basic

Post by tintoverano »

hi,

https://www.picoauto.com/library/picoscope/trigger

hitting Help in the sw brings up the above page resulting in a must to do a forum search on the topic, which is not practical at all

when can we expect proper Documentation of the features?

thanks

hi Martyn,

thanks for the link, it helps a bit

when working in the shop and want to quickly check options there's no time to wait for responses from forums or remember links ...

Hello and thank you for the posts and for highlighting the challenges around "just in time training" with "Triggers" being a prime example

Below I have complied a list of Trigger related links from our series of forum posts that describe the new features of PS7 upon release

Trigger delay viewtopic.php?p=105087#p105087

Trigger enhancements viewtopic.php?p=104493#p104493

Cycle at trigger point viewtopic.php?p=104603#p104603

Level dropout trigger (High/Low) viewtopic.php?p=104749#p104749

Trigger on Rise/Fall time viewtopic.php?p=104844#p104844

Rapid Trigger viewtopic.php?p=102950#p102950

Logic triggering viewtopic.php?p=102659#p102659

Signal generator trigger controls (4823 only) viewtopic.php?p=101989#p101989

Couple the above to Martyn's T&M Advanced Tigger feature here https://www.picotech.com/library/oscill ... l-triggers and our A to Z feature here https://www.picoauto.com/library/picoscope/trigger and you have comprehensive coverage of Trigger options and features

With that said, I agree, the above does appear "clunky" with each topic requiring study and practice time which is of course applies to any topic regardless of the subject

It would be great to get your feedback on several points:

How we can improve access to the above?

What would you like to see?

How can we improve PS7, HELP, and online Training features ?

The above of course applies to all our users and remember you can feedback within PicoScope 7 software (see below)
Feedback
Feedback
On the subject of "Feedback" please don't feel as though "Feedback" disappears into a black hole at Pico

Every single feedback item is reviewed and triaged accordingly by the relevant software and hardware teams and is responsible for the PS7 we are all using today

The more "Feedback" we receive on a particular subject/topic, the more advantageous this becomes towards implementation of new features

Thank you again for posting and I hope the above helps,

Take care......Steve
