Increase time base while viewing saved waveform

Post by andrewbommer »

Hello,
Relatively new user. I went through the training files and didnt see anything regarding this.

I'm viewing a cam crank waveform sent to me from a dealership. I want to be able to "zoom out" or increase the horizontal time base so i can see more of the capture on the screen at one time. The timebase settings dont seem to be adjustable.

Thanks for any help.

Click on the magnifying glass, top right of graphical area. When the zoom controls open, look for "1:1". If the 1:1 is grayed out, you are already zoomed out fully showing all data in the capture/buffer.

From what I can gather from your images, the dealer tech operating the scope has too little amount of time captured in order to get a full 720 degree cycle. Have the tech increase the time base until at least one repeating 720 cycle can be seen on one screen/buffer/waveform.
