Hi I'm Colin.
I'm a hgv tech.
To get me started. Could I start with a 2204a scope. I know they are 20v. Where trucks are 24v
Thank you

Hi Colin,

Great to hear there are more HGV techs getting involved with scope diagnostics. Whilst the 2000 series of scopes might seem tempting from a cost point of view they are missing a number of features that you gain from the automotive scopes. The main one as you've pointed out would be the input voltage only being +-20V so attenuators are a must.

Please take a look at the following posts so you have all the facts.

topic21605.html?&p=97926&hilit=2204#p97926

As you're in the truck game please take a look at the Heavy Duty and Off Highway sector on the forum - forum483.html.

Hope this helps

Kind regards

Ben
