feature request: scope views and waveform frames' scrolling

Post by tintoverano »

hi,

it would be useful to be able to lock the current frame in a scope view, whereas in the other opened scope view the user could still scroll frames

use case: I'm seeing a pattern and want to check whether it exists on other frames w/o scrolling back and forth

I was trying this on a Mac, so sorry if this was available on Windows (using both OSs)

thanks

Hi Zoli,

Thank you for the suggestion and I will get it into the software teams.

Whilst not an easy option there is a workaround using the reference waveform feature. If you were to have both view open as you've done so in your image, create a reference of the top panel and then hide the other channels apart from the reference.

This will 'fix' the waveform in the top view whilst scrolling through the waveform buffer appears in the lower panel. Hopefully the attached video demonstrates this.

Thank you again and keep the ideas coming!

Kind regards

Ben
